Generating knowledge
ICENS lab brings together economists from various schools of thought, alongside representatives of other fields and areas of society. From this foundation, we aim to conduct research, analysis and consultancy projects that help move us towards a stable global climate, and a thriving green social economy. Part of this means prioritising development-compatible climate strategies that avoid the so-called ‘carbon tunnel vision’.
This work stream involves research, analysis, and consultancy projects linked to the economics of climate change mitigation from a pluralist perspective, the shaping of multi-dimensional climate strategies, and systemic interactions between climate, energy, industrial, and social policies. In other words, we seek to co-create resources, tools, and applicable ideas that draw on collaboration with various stakeholders, including interactions with local communities.
